For half a century Camp Harlam has positively and meaningfully impacted the lives of thousands by promoting a warm and supportive environment where children of all ages feel free to express themselves and explore their role within the Jewish community and beyond. Camp Harlam takes great pride in its ability to create an environment where “friends become family” for its campers and staff.

Please help to provide this meaningful summer experience for future campers by donating to the Camp Harlam Scholarship Fund.

In 1958 the Joseph and Betty Harlam Camp Institute opened its gates for the first time to both campers and staff members. Facilities were built over time to make sure that the campers coming to Camp would have the best summer of their lives. Now, half a century later, new and returning campers are coming through Camp’s gates and we want them to have the best possible experience we can offer.

Help us celebrate our 50th anniversary by donating to the 50th Anniversary fund. Money donated to this fund will go towards Camp’s imminent needs which may include but are not limited to: creative and exciting new programs, capital projects and scholarship needs.

The leadership of Camp Harlam has always been committed to providing a state-of-the-art experience for our campers. Over the years we have been able to add exciting new buildings to Camp but we now find ourselves at a point where there is a great need to either refurbish or rebuild a number of our existing structures.

Money donated to the Capital Fund will be used to refurbish and rebuild Harlam’s facilities in order to allow us to do what we do best by providing the best possible facilities for our campers.

HELP INSURE THE FUTURE OF REFORM JUDAISM:
GIVE TO THE URJ CAMP HARLAM

From the first meeting of Joseph and Betty Harlam with representatives from the Union for Reform Judaism (then known as the Union of American Hebrew Congregations), to our first summer in 1958, Camp Harlam has been aided by donations from our vast network of alumni, supporters and friends. Donated funds are used to support the Camp in a variety of ways: To foster the development of new programs and educational initiatives; to fund the addition of new recreational activities and facility improvements; and, most significantly, to provide camp scholarships for families unable to obtain full funding from personal, local or regional sources.

We are proud that, thanks to the generosity of donors like you, our program continues to broaden, our site remains one of the finest camping facilities in the country, and everyone who requests financial assistance is able to receive some.

The Union for Reform Judaism is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) corporation. Your contributions are tax deductible, and an acknowledgment of your donation will be sent.
