It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the sudden death of Mitchell Perlmeter on February 1, 2011. Mitch has been at Camp Harlam most of his life, was a CIT last summer and was to have been a counselor this coming summer. Mitch is the son of Rabbis Rex Perlmeter and Rachel Hertzman of Montclair, NJ and brother of Jackie, Sarah and Nathaniel. He and his family are beloved members of the Camp Harlam community. We will truly miss Mitch’s energy and enthusiasm for camp and life and his constant smile.
Our support and prayers are with the Perlmeter-Hertzman family during this time. Letters of condolences to the family can be sent to 39 Porter Place, Montclair, NJ 07042. The family asks that we respect their privacy and their need for time as a family. Camp Harlam has established a special "Remembering Mitch" Facebook group where you can share thoughts, memories, photos, and videos.
